In 1998 year, the government adjusted 156 thousands supervisors of 71 thousands statedcompanies. In this period 43 thousands supervisors were dismissed. Comparatively, individualbusiness, private business, and civil business, their founder-the first generation enterpreneurs alsoentered into fifty or sixty years, even though when they were twenty years old at that time. All factsidentified, the further several years are the succession period of Chinese business. Leadersuccession is considered as one of the most important strategic things, because it will affect alllevels of the company: to the inside, leader succession will be considered the most effectedmanagement change. To the outside, shareholder, supplier, customer, public and government willregard it as the sign of the company's further development. So, the succession directly decides theeconomics and environment of the business, also deeply affects the performance of the business. According to analyze the advantage and disadvantage between inside mode and outsidemode of training successor, I think inside mode of training successor has the followingadvandages:1.Keep core power of the company, carry leader circle out. 2. It supplies careerdevelopment stage for the talents, improve employees' faithfulness. 3. It improves the rate ofsuccessful decision-making, reduces the risk of decision-making. So inside mode of trainingsuccessor is suitable the fact of China. Our company insider mode of training includes four parts,selecting, training, deciding, and succession. The four parts make up a circle, which they all affecteach others. I also divide training period into pre-succession period and sub-succession period.Pre-succession training includes line-manager training, middle level manager training, and topmanager training. Sub-succession training includes prophase training, metaphase training andanaphase training. In different period, it has different traits and demands, so the contents and styleof training are different. At the end, according to analyze the succession mode of Lenovo China, it confirms thatinside mode of training successor is suitable the fact of China. It also brings forward some measuresabout how to improve inside mode of training successor, such as consummating successor plan,clarifying who will training the successor and who is the decision-maker, the training should becarried out step by step.
