Research On Enterprises' Innovation System Based On The CAS Theory

With the arriving of the knowledge-age, more and more enterprises find that they can not keep the competing advantages only through the well production efficiency as well as the good production qualities and the flexibility. Through studying on theories and researching on the enterprises' practice, many scholars discover that not only most enterprises haven't paid enough attention on the innovation but also the capacity of them and the devotion to the innovation has been very low. Furthermore ,there has been an extruding problem that is mostly enterprises separately focus on the technology innovation while sticking to one or two elements of the whole innovation system but ignoring other factors such as strategy , organization, culture, and marketing, in doing so ,the performance of the innovation isn't very good. In a word, it is necessary to study the innovation in a new way. Complex adaptive system provids a new method toward this problem, so this thesis works on the following contents on the basis of that Hotpoint.The first three chapters is the basis of the whole thesis. The chapter one sets forth the necessity and the background of this study. Chapter two and three, syetematically summarize the concept, meaning and relevant theoretic basis of the thesis. Based on the former chapters, the author analysis the complexity origin and its mechanism of the Enterprise Innovation System (EIS) and furthermore summarizes the seven basic characteristics of the EIS in order to prove the necessity and possibility of the appliance of the CAS to the EIS.Chapter five and six are the hardcores of this thesis. The author wants to analysis the function mechanism from the CAS view. The concept of the EIS and the core elements in it is generalized firstly. The second part is to explain the agents' levels of the EIS and then describes the EIS by using the Stimulus-response Model. At last of this part establishes a mathematic model to picture the adaptive course of the EIS. The circumstances in and out of the EIS is the necessary part towards this topic. The inside circumstance contained the strategy, the structure of the organization, the cultivate of the agents and the information network of the enterprise. The outside circumstance mainly focused on the innovation network which makes up of the outer space.Combining the former study results with the Hair's EIS, in the chapter seven, the author analysis its complex adaptive characteristics aiming to puts forwards some practical advice to the enterprises' real problems.
