After M&A in 1990s, the world automobile industry has concentrated muchmore. And now, about 10 great MNCs controlling the auto industry is the basiccompetencing situation. In the course of the opening and reformatting about 20years in China, the MNCs have come into China in succession. Their Chinadevelopment stategy result in the competencing status in the market, andinfluenced deeply to the China automobile industry.In present dissertation, case-anlysis of 10 MNCs' development in China,including GM, FORD, TOYOTA, R-N, VW, D-C, PSA, HONDA, HUYNDAIand BMW were carried out. In term of develop mode, we divide the 10companies into four styles (maintaining superiority, entering in high-level,actively pursuing, readjusting overall). We have researched many aspects ofChina development stategy, inculing partnership, position, brand stategy,product, R&D, manufacturing, purchasing, distribution, marketing, etc. Andfinally we sum up the basic characters of each style.Another impotant part in present dissertation researched the influence toChina automobile industy from the MNCs by the method of "Diamond System".In the three stages of past 20 years, the influence is different. The conclusion:the development of MNCs in China improved the development level ofadvanced production factor, enhanced the market captious demand condition,and strengthened the development of correlative industy. But the MNCs limitedthe development of Chinese auto company's core competence such as brandand R&D.
