Every traditional company faces the following managerial and technicalissues: How could a company assure the success of electronic commerce (EC)in strategy, management, organization and technique aspects? How muchbenefit would EC bring to enterprise and how could we assess it? To answerthese questions, this research studies the EC critical success factors (CSF) forChinese electronic information industry enterprises.Many researchers have studied in this field, but the existing researchesstill have limitations. On the basis literature reviewing, this research suggeststhe assessment indicators, comprehensive factors, web features and functionsfor electronic information industry EC success. Several hypotheses areproposed.We then conduct the empirical study on the electronic informationindustry in China to verify the hypotheses. Using factor analysis andregression analysis, this research verifies the correctness of hypotheses andobtains several findings.These findings indicate the usefulness of our research model for studyingEC CSF, especially for Chinese enterprises.
