Purchasing Management In Pharmaceutical Retailing Enterprise

Pharmaceutical retailing is a young industry in China .As the end of last-transitional period of WTO, and the opening of retailing market completely in China, the competition becomes more and more intensely, competitions are not only exist between single company, also between the whole supply chain. As we know, purchasing is one of the most important links of retailing industry. We should pay more attention to purchasing management. The thesis, on the basis of combining the theory and reality, do some research works for how to better the purchasing management of pharmaceutical retailing industry. In the first part of the context, the author analyzes the present situation of the pharmaceutical retailing, the features of purchasing management, and it's importance in pharmaceutical retailing. In the second part, the author raises the questions on purchasing management in China pharmaceutical retailing enterprise .In the third part, from the point of supply chain management, the paper suggests some methods to improve the lever of purchasing management, including the following contents: the model of purchasing, the management of supplier relationship, costs of purchasing, information technology, commodity analysis. And indicates the development trend on purchasing management of pharmaceutical retailing company in the future. Finally, taking the Nepstar chain drugstore Ltd.-one of the leading companies in China's pharmaceutical retailing industry as an example, the author discusses its present situation, problems of the uneconomic of organization structure, the responsibilities of purchasing management, commodity management, inventory management, and advances some ways on how to solve these problems.
