Development Of Hotel's Executive Floor

This paper mainly studies the development problem of hotel's executive floor. It is made up of six parts.In the first part, the significance of this paper, its framework, the research methods used in this paper are described.In the second part, the basic concepts and theories of the executive floor are introduced, which include the origin and developing history and the definition. And on the base of the theories, this paper summarizes the development trends of the executive floor, including the change of tourist market, service, facilities, personnel's quality, management, the extend of service method and the appearance of woman's executive floor.In the third part, according to the different tourist markets, the executive floor is divided into four kinds, namely commercial, conference, apartment and resort type. Then the paper analyses the demand characteristics of the tourists, and puts forward some function that should be offered.The fourth part mainly studies the design problem of the executive floor. At first it introduces the general design principles, that is, be in harmony with the hotel's design, environmental protection principle, culture oriented, and people first. Then the key elements of the design that should be considered are put forward, mainly including set up single registration and check-out, single dining-room, the area, type, facility in the guest room, and theme culture of the executive floor.The fifth part of this paper is case study. It takes example for the Wanyou Conifer Hotel of Chongqing and Crown Plaza Hainan Spa & Beach Resort, analyses the problems, successful experiences and puts forward some suggestions for the executivefloor of these two hotels. Then this paper compares these two different kinds of executive floor, and summarizes several elements that should be considered while we develop the executive floor, including market orientation, food and beverage establishment, recreation and fitness items, design of the guest room.The last part of this paper is a conclusion. It summarizes the significance for the development and design of the executive floor.
