Traditional Chinese medicines, as a sort of treasure of Chinese culture, served Chinese people's health for thousand years. With the development of modern research on natural herbs from demestic and abroad, more and more people feel that environment protection, non-pollution natural herbs and extract derive much benefit to the health of human beings.traditional Chinese medicines have been payed more attention.With the demand of world market for Chinese medicines increasing quickly,chinese medicines have faced with a great developing opportunities and have a bright prospect.However, the export of Chinese medicines still on the lower standard, in the meantime, large amounts of natural herbs and healthcare product have been imported from abroad.How to accelerate the modernization of Chinese medicines industry,how to explore and develop the international market, how to compete with the natural herbs and healthcare products from abroad, all these challenge is very important and urgent we have to deal with.Chinese medicines have been sold in USA for hundred years, drug stores which sale Chinese medicines and healthcare products scattered in china town all over the American cities. As the differences between the Chinese and western culture as well as discrepancy between traditional Chinese medical science and western pharmacology, Chinese medicines have not been recognized by most of consumers, the sales of Chinese medicines increased slowly.Through the reseach and analysis on following elements such as present market situation of Chinese medicines, the export of Chinese medicines, the international market on natural herbs and extract, the development of natural herbs in USA ,the development of Chinese medicines sales in America, the barriers and problems concerning the marketing of Chinese medicines, the author try to explored a feasible way regarding marketing tactics of Chinese medicines in USA, to provide reference and help for demestic Chinese pharmacetical manufactures and internationl trade companies, to provide guidence for demestic companies to enlarge export of Chinese medicines.
