Study On Enterprise Management Strategy Of Yantai Port

With the obvious trend of the globalization of the world's economy in 21st century, the increased speed of global trade is much higher than that of global economy. According to statistic, 80% of the present international trade is carried by ocean transportation. So the ports' situation is very important as loading and discharging points in ocean transportation. Nowadays with the rapid development of the internal economy and communication technique, Chinese ports are facing various opportunities, as well as more competitions. Especially after China entered WTO, the management pattern of Chinese ports is changing deeply. In order to increase their competitive capacity radically, the port enterprises have to lucubrate the management strategy. The research on the management strategy of enterprises includes three parts :analysis on the exterior circumstance, analysis on the interior condition and strategic execution after planning and selection.Marched with Huanghai and Bohai, Yantai port is one of the most important hinges of northern transportation in China and main gate in international trade. This thesis, on the basis of the basic theory of enterprise strategy and strategic management, applies SWOT method to analyze the exterior circumstance and the interior condition of Yantai port. Furthermore, the paper puts forward the strategic mentality of developing modern logistics on the basis of traditional port services, and the relevant measure to reach the goal. So that it gives out an academic reference for the development of Yantai port.
