The Research Of Gas Sensor Detection Device Based On USB

In recent years, Chinese rapid surge in energy consumption of coal and coal mining are growing wider. But at the same, the coal mine safety accidents occur frequently, furthermore the greatest impact on methane explosion is increasingly severe. Methane gas detection sensor is a key instrument, and its quality has a direct impact on mine safety. China requires that periodic calibration of mine gas sensors to measure its accuracy is indispensable.In this paper, the traditional disadvantages of manual calibration of gas sensors are obvious. The research provides a more convenient means of calibration of measurement. In this paper, there are three parts in whole paper and they are the principles of methane sensor, system hardware design, system software design.In this paper, on the research of the National Safety Standards Provisions on the calibration of methane sensor, we achieve the collection of frequency of the methane sensor and the collection of the working voltage by using the enhanced 8051 MCU which has built-in USB interface. By processing the collected data, we sent the data to upper computer using USB communications, the firmware is done in Keil uVision3. In the development of upper computer, we have developed the corresponding user-friendly interface in VC + +, which enables the various parameters of methane sensor to be displayed and preserved, that is more conducive to staff inquiries and processing. And at the same time we develop the corresponding drivers in Driver Studio environment to make the product into the market.In the end, the results show that the product is simple to handle and easy to upgrade through the determination of the product on-site calibration. We not only achieve the desired purpose, but also effectively help to improve the efficiency of gas sensor calibration.
