Design And Implementation Of The Soft Switch Automatic Backup Software

With the rapid development of communication network technologies, Major telecommunication operators have had the switch replaced by a new generation of traditional soft switch. Completion of the peaceful evolution of 3G with the use of soft-switching equipment has been realized. Soft switch modern communication network has been essential to the position of station. Major telecommunications operators have already considered that the importance of the network security equipments. Using a range of security policy and security mechanisms to ensure the safety of equipment and network is an important task for the operators. As a disaster recovery mechanism in which one of the most important work should be carry out is discussed in this paper.Backup is the basic technique for disaster recovery. The current backup mechanisms are generally divided in two types of equipment: automatic backup for equipment and manual backup manually. In order to standardize equipment package named operation, to reduce risk of manual operation and to improve working efficiency of staff, the main subject of the task has been completed. By using Visual Basic programming, complete the automatic link exchange network element selected soft, automatic backup and backup for the verification have been established.Automatic backup software soft switch technology uses telnet to centralize network management through a remote connection to the soft switch device. Then the software will automatically generate a"device name + date"log file under the file named LOG in order to facilitate maintenance personnel to extract log and complete tasks. As unified"FB+date"naming norms is adopted in automatical backup, the standardization and completion of the packages are ensured.The software also provides a key to check the status of packages by consulting the latest status list, i.e. to pop out query log in text by using the"query package"command of soft switch. After picking out the package with the latest date, maintenance personnel can conclude whether new package has been created that day and whether packages are working normally. Or, maintenance personnel can carry out the process both before and after package creation, and assess the working condition of packages via comparing the results.In order to achieve the various function mentioned above, this software offers five modules to assist its operation, namely, the operation module, the selection module, the package module, the inspection module and the distribution module.
