With the development of computer technology, the rapidly growing popularity of the Internet, and the acceleration of the pace of military information, the storage means and the transmission modes of military information are also undergoing tremendous changes. More and more information (even including secret and confidential and top secret information) is stored and transmitted through text, images, audio, video, particularly in the form of digital images. However, in computers and computer network environment, there are a large number of security risk, the information can easily be intercepted and tampered with. Therefore, protection of the secret communication and the legitimate use of the military information is becoming a very important research field.In this paper, based on the characters of the human visual system, combined with image information hiding technology, some depth study has been done on the image information hiding technology, the main research works completed as follows:1) On the basis of the traditional secret color image hiding scheme, hiding algorithm has been optimized, it allows a group of n members to share the secret image such that any t or more members can cooperatively construct the secret color image, but (t-1) or less members can not. By transforming the color image from RGB space to HSI space, the stego-images quality can. be greatly improved. Experimental results demonstrate that the stego-images have a very high peak singnal-to-noise ratio and are almost the same as the cover-images.2) Based on the analyses of the correlation between the cover-image and the secret-image, a novel image-hiding scheme based on quantizing factor and matching factor is proposed. By improving the quantizing factor and the matching factor, the stego-image quality can be greatly improved, and the stego-image is almost the same as the cover-image. By adjusting and setting matching factor, the security of hiding algorithm hiding has been improved, and the algorithm is simple, the implementation complexity is low. Experimental results show that the stego-image has a high quality, the stego-image is almost the same as the cover-image, and the embedded secret image can be completely reconstructed.3) After analyzing the transform domain, especially the image information hiding technology in the discrete wavelet domain, and considering the frequency characteristics, directional characteristics, brightness features and texture features of the human visual system, a novel Image-hiding Scheme Based on Quantizing Factor and Matching Factor in DWT is proposed. By adjusting quantizing factor and matching factor, the stego-image quality and security of image hiding can be greatly improved. Experimental results show that the stego-image has a high quality, the stego-image is almost the same as the cover-image, and the embedded secret image can be completely restored, and the human visual system (HVS) characteristics are satisfied better.
