Black And White Aerial Photo Reconnaissance Image Processing Technology Research

Intelligence reconnaissance is the base of all millitary action. Commanders cannot plan or direct a war without it. Along with information-based degree increasingly Strengthenning in morden war and the status and role of air force in war kept rising, many countries pay great attention to the research of aerial intelligence reconnaissance technology in order to improve their reconnaissance ability in future information-based war field. Black and white aerial photo reconnaissance image processing technology has important status and role in military Intelligence reconnaissance.The paper studied black and white aerial photo reconnaissance image processing technology from two aspects. In the photographic processing aspect, it first narrated the basic theory which includes the procedures of processing and quality control methods in each procedure. Then in order to guarantee the quality of photographic processing results, the paper proposed that photographic processing development conditions could be desided through sensitometry method and the complement of developer could be judged by chemical analysis and designed the corresponding experiment steps. In the digital image processing aspect, the paper first narrated the basic knowledge of digital image processing which include digital image processing theory base, digital image file types, commonly used digital image processing methods and so on. Then the paper studied black and white aerial photo reconnaissance image enhancement technology which includes image pixel processing, image space area filter and image false color processing. At last the paper studied black and white aerial photo reconnaissance image character information recognition and proposed a new character recognition method named stroke characteristic pixel recognition.By doing imitation experiment using Matlab software the paper confirmed the obtained result's rationality and validity. The work that the paper completes has great significance to perfecting military reconnaissance methods, raising reconnaissance level and PLA's modernization.
