Modern war is greater depending on information war. People gain the initiative of the war only when they grasp the initiative of controlling the information..In modern war, the commanders must communicate with each other in time. Maintaining communication security is what they must be concerned with. Usually, the army is the special association, which also set a higher request to the communication safe security with the development of paperless work and safe security request. A large number of multimedia information transmitting in military communication, such as images, audio, video and even text messages, have more or less redundant space for the human visual and additive perception system. By this redundant space, the information can be secretly transmitted. And the effect of the vision or auditory will not be affected. So we can realize the purpose that the secret information is securely transmitted by the audio or video or text carrier.In the thesis, firstly we introduce the basic concepts and theoretic of information hiding technologies and digital watermarking, such as characteristics, classification and application and so on. Then particularly we analyze text digital watermarking technique and commonly used text-based digital watermarking algorithm at present, and give the analysis and comparison of these algorithms.Text watermarking is a very important application in the field of text information hiding. On the basis of studying the deficiency of present text information hiding and text watermarking, and the binary text image universally has two difficulties when image hides watermark, first, the information content which hide in two value text image are few with the conventional method; second, watermark hiding in two value text image, so meaning of text is possibly changed. We analyze the quite popular algorithms of discrete cosine transformation (DCT) and the separate wavelet transformation (DWT). Moreover, we do the simulation experiment integrating the two algorithms, then according to the experiments, we confirm The DCT-DWT algorithm can resist each kind of attack effectively, has strong robustness and limpidity, and basically satisfies the request of military communication.Because bad hiding effectiveness of the DCT-DWT algorithm is aims at the text image, it has certain limitation in the military communication. So this paper analyzes the zero text watermarking technology and proposed a text based information hiding method. The method focuses on the hidden nature of the information. In the process of the embedding, not modify any original cover data, hidden information is embedded into the text according to the character Unicode odd or even and with some special rules. The method has been programmed by Delphi and had some robust testing. The experimental results prove that the method has a large capacity, good hiding effectiveness and strong robustness and so on, thus effective feasibility of the text digital zero watermark has been confirmed in the military communication.
