Gesture Interaction Based User Interface Research And Design In Digital Home

Changes in the environment of family life reflected the profound impact of different technology on society, Digital Home concept is also described by family members living in the digital environment. The digital age has brought the first change is the popularity of personal computers. Obviously transporting these form and interactive interface into home does not mean the digital home. So there are some new features and new trends in the area of interacting with the environment or others in the 3C era of convergence.Gesture interface as a new interactive form gained attention, which deviated from the traditional reliance on interactive devices, providing a suitable human-computer interaction environment in family with new possibility. In design, the changing from the physical design to non-material design is increasingly apparent. Therefore around the digital home-related research, this paper tends to think the communication media between people and environment in family-interface.Cornerstone of this thesis is on the iPlay gesture interface design projects practice in INTEL DHG (Digital Home Group). Thesis focused on the digital home interface design and research based on gesture interaction. In this thesis, the idea of using the system on the digital home for a systematic analysis, and the main factors and interactions from product form of the next generation of digital home interface trends are analyzed, and these analysis results are included in the gesture interface analysis of design requirements. During the process of gesture interface design using the OAI (Object-Action Interface) model to guide the design, this thesis conducted the corresponding optimizing and improving the OAI model in the design and development process.The innovation point of this paper is taking the digital home systems demand analysis into the requirement analysis module of gesture interface design. And OAI model used in the design process was optimized and improved. Matching the subject and behavior area in the objects task-level and interface level of OAI model formed a new gesture interaction interface design and development model.
