The Design And Testing Of Educational Administration System In The School Of Software Engineering

With the high-speed development of computer technology, database technology is being perfected. Since the modernization of administration concept, the computer information administration system has been widely used in all fields, which can reduce manpower, improve the efficiency of information processing, and reduce the difficulty of administration. Educational institutions have rapidly introduced computers and Internet technology to their administration, among which the online educational administration system is an important component.As one part of computer application, information administration by using computers have unmatchable advantages over handicraft administration, such as, rapid retrieval, convenient search, high proficiency, good reliability, huge memory, good confidentiality, long life-span, and low cost. These advantages can greatly raise the efficiency of information administration of educational affairs.This current system has been developed to reduce the workload of staff on the processing of relevant data, for example, the collection, sorting out, settlement, counting of data.Online educational administration system has been put forward under the background mentioned above. Based on B/S model, this system adopts the popular open frame-Struts and Spring. The whole application deploys on a Tomcat server. This system adopts MySQL as its back-end database, In addition, this system uses Ajax in the development of view layer in order to partially refresh the page, reduce the network flow, improve the interaction and sensitivity of web interface, improve the efficiency of user input, and alleviate the load of TAS server and MySQL database. Through this system, all staff and faculty can get access to the teaching database by their privilege at any time and any place, meanwhile, do relevant process.The first section of this paper introduces the background and tasks of developing online educational administration system. The second section analyzes the seven sub-systems in details.The third section describes, from system architecture, application design, and technology architecture, the design of one sub-system: administration of students'academic transcripts. The fourth section tests the function of each sub-system. The fifth section concludes the whole paper, and makes predictions for further research.
