Mobile Payment is one of the most valuable services in mobile network. Mobile Payment through mobile phones, rather than the traditional form of currency in cash, provides order, shopping, transfer and other transaction services in the mobile network. CMIN02-MPP (Mobile Payment Platform, hereinafter referred to as MPP), is a mobile payment platform product, created by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications Networking and Switching Technology, State Key Laboratory with completely independent intellectual property rights. This product has been commercially available since 2003, after that, the services are growing rapidly, covering over eight provinces and municipalities. The system capacity and transaction amount are also constantly rising.With the development of mobile payment platform, the original message communication mechanism hard to support rapid business development and new features, the performance and system capacity has become a bottleneck which restricting the system development. This paper put forward the development of messaging mechanism and carried out the prototype system implementation.ChapterⅠintroduced the concept of mobile payment and the mobile payment system. ChapterⅡintroduced the original messaging mechanism of mobile payment system, after that, analyzed its shortcomings and deficiencies.ChapterⅢ, considered the shortcomings of the original message communication mechanism and the experience of practical application, put forward the message communication mechanism improvement and design. The improvement include the "low-level communication between the internal modules", "MAN-RUN message routing algorithm", "overload controlling strategy" and "Load-balancing algorithm ".ChapterⅣcompared the two systems before and after improving. The comparative analysis of the testing data demonstrated the results achieved. Look through the results, obviously, the improvement has significantly reduced the difficulty of development and maintainability, new services, new features can be added to the system more rapidly. The system performance and capacity have also made a great progress. This improvement can be adopted into some system that having similar demand.
