IP integrated carrier network adopts the advanced system structure of IP MAN network, using IP packets to carry voice, data,multi-media and other information.lt is a hot topic concerned and discussed by all ISP. IP integrated carrier network not only inherits the existing ISP service of IP MAN completely, but also to provide voice, IPTV and other rich and unique new sevices, It has the benefits of lower cost and newer technology, which is the developing trend of next generation carrier network.IP protocol is an open protocol, many applications based on IP networks have already penetrated to every corner of society. However, best effort transfer which is the nature of IP network has troubled ISP for a long time. Under All Services operation time, integrated access of users is an inevitable trend, How to identify, differentiate and do flow control with multi-sevices is not available in the existing IP MAN. In order to make up best effort this birth defect, the structure of IP MAN has to be changed, hierarchical structures Qos and VPN are necessary as well.This thesis is exactly directed against problem described above.Base on the study to the current status of Kunming Telecom IP metro network, do innovative and exploratory research, planning, design on Kunming Telecom IP MAN on it road to IP integrated carrier network. The main content is:Chapter I first introduces the background knowledge of the subject, analyses why operator selected IP technology to build IP integrated network. Chapter II briefly introduces the conception of IP integrated carrier network and analyses protocols IP integrated carrier network commonly used. Chapter III detailedly analyses the design requirements of Kunming telecom IP integrated carrier network, deeply discussed the status and specific problems of the KunMing IP Metro Network. Chapter IV proposes the specific principles of how to design Kunming Telecom IP integrated carrier network, detailedly introduces its target network structure and building program including the expansion of IP MAN, routing optimization, MPLS VPN and Qos deployment program. The fifth chapter briefly introduces the major security threats which IP integrated carrier network has to face. Chapter VI summarized the paper work and discussed the problems. The overall program which this thesis discusses has been implemented at present and has achieved good results.
