As one of the third generations of mobile communication technology which was presensed to ITU in 1998,TD-SCDMA has been the first international telecommunication standard which has our own property and been accepted by the world.By the support of the China government and China Mobile, the network construction is in full swing. With the progress of the development of network construction, the testing of network quality has become the focus of work.As one of the most important part in the third-generation mobile communication systems, the performance of handover function has a significant impact on the performance of the network.Thus, the testing of handover function has become an essential part of testing the network.In the cellular wireless communication system, as it has been always moving, the mobile phone is often caused by cross-district.Handover can be divided into two kinds:hard handover and baton handover. In the work of testing the network,the cause of handover is complicated.The analyzing of the cause of the failure during the handover by the engineers is based on the signalings received from the Uu interface.Thus, the key to develop the handover testing module is to develop a signaling processing functions with stable performance, reliable quality.With the "Design and Implementation of the Handover Module of TD-SCDMA" as research focus, this paper mainly complete the following work:1) Study the netword structure of TD-SCDMA and RRC protocol. 2) Decode RRC signalling with the help of Open Source ASN.1 Compiler and RRC structure defined in 3GPP, which highly reduce the cost and time of development.3) Design and implement the functions of serials,database,main control,protocol management,force/forbidden handover in the module.4) Design and implement the functions of calculating the KPI of handover.5) Analysing the results,concluding the benefits of the handover testing.
