Design And Practice Of Network Upgrading For Supporting The Integrated Telecomms Information Management System

The guiding principle of strategic transformation of China Telecom is to transform from a traditional basic network operator to a modern comprehensive information service provider.In the aspect of management, an enterprise-oriented, real-time and shared business analysis and decision supporting system are going to be built up; Business Support System(BSS)is going to be integrated and reformed, so as to be transformed from the product-oriented accounting information data to customer-oriented accounting information data; The support of aimed marketing is going to be reinforced; the recognition of customers is going to be promoted; the network resources management system in the existing Operation Support System (OSS) is going to be fully,used; its development and application are going to be strengthened. The front part department, financial department, statistic department, planning and construction department are going to be coordinated; the upgrading and reform of Management Support System (OSS) are going to be steadily promoted. Therefore a complete network platform is in need to support the entire information management system.As for operation, a unified and open service platform framework is called to meet the need of the platform sharing and flexible blinding of Value-added Service, such as voice service and multimedia service. So that network and services can be rapidly deployed and all kinds of broad-band and narrow-band integrated services can be fully supported.The existing supporting network has many disadvantages, such as:the management of IP address is in disorder; the Collision Domain and Broadcast Domain are without management; the bandwidth has bottleneck; network topology need efficient management; there exist many insecurity factors in the network. There are no network management documents. The manageability of the network is poor. The expansibility of the network is dissatisfactory. There are many invalid broadcasts in the network. The network is vulnerable to virus attack.Therefore, an efficient supporting network is needed. Based on the existing network, a new DCN network will be built up to carry all kinds of services, to reprogram and redeploy the existing network and finally an efficient and integrated telecommunication information management system network will be built up.This paper introduced the demonstration and implementation of Telecommunication Information Management System Network; discussed the features of MPLS VPN and the supporting demand of various networks for telecommunication service; elaborated on the necessity and feasibility of the network construction; designed the construction scheme of the integrated network which can meet the demand of multiservice; implemented the designed network; summed up the effects and the aim of network implementation; and put forward that the integrated information management network based on MPLS VPN can provide wide network support which can be applied in network construction in many fields, such as e-government network construction.
