Radio Frequency Indentification (RFID) is an automatic indentification technique which got popular in 1990s. RFID systems have kinds of advantages such as large data space, strong anti-interference capability, good recognition speed and lower cost. Now RFID technique has been used in many fields.Compared with passive RFID tags, active RFID tags have larger data space, and can be recognized in longer distance within shorter time. The cost of active RFID is much lower now. The application of active RFID has become a hot spot. From the application point of view, this dissertation discusses the possibility of solving location-aware problems based on active RFID technique. Firstly this paper analyzes the related background and status, and discusses the theory of RFID technique; Secondly, the thesis learnes indoor wareless radio models, and discusses possible mathimathic techniques which can be used in indoor localization current indoor localization methods, expecially LANDMARC algorithm; The paper also discusses RFID tag collision problem and provides a new dynamic Frame-sized ALOHA adjust method. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm consumes less time slots as compared to fixed framed slotted ALOHA; Finally, this paper designs and carries out an indoor localization system which is constructed of PC, database server, readers and tags. PC and readers uses CAN bus to contact with each other. The whole system contains modules such as system setting, device management and CAN bus communication. The implement of application layer protocol helps the system run offline training automatically and show moving tags in real time. The result shows that the system can locate tags and the real time localization result displays in a picture-based interface smoothly.
