The networking technology has infiltrated abroad into every field with the coming of the information time. As well as bringing convenient communication that we had never experience, it requires safer store and transmission of information. The information hiding technology works up in this backdrop.This article takes the information hiding algorithm basing on quantization coding as the subject content for research. It elaborates the information hiding survey, the development course, basic theories, all kinds of analysis technologies and the total frame of information hiding model system, including the information embedding and extracting, the appraisal of system capability and so on. Then the information hiding algorithm basing on quantization coding in time domain and the one in frequency domain are brought forward. By combination of Information Hiding and quantified coding techniques, the problem that the amount of the data is increased after information hiding and a bad influence is taken on the transmission is solved. And the he validity and the reliability of the transmission of the covert information is enhanced. Meanwhile the information hiding rate is enhanced by the use of the quantification code in the information hiding process. In this paper, the basic flow of the information hiding algorithm based on the quantification code in the time domain is proposed, and make some improvement on the error diffusing during the anti-predictive coding, an improved quantization coding hiding algorithm is given. By the analysis of the invisibility and effect of the JPEG compression as well as the hiding capacity of the two algorithms, the superiority of the improved algorithm is proved. By comparing the improved algorithm with other predictive coding algorithm, the fact that the capacity and the signal to noise ratio of the improved algorithm proposed in this paper is superior to other algorithms is confirmed. And it is algorithm of a good performance with ultra large hiding capacity. Because the characteristics of the data distribution of the image data in space domain and frequency domain are various, quantification coding and the information hiding will also have some difference. So the information hiding algorithm on basis of the quantification coding in frequency domain is shown and analyzed. In the end, by the comparison of the algorithm in time domain and frequency domain the improvement mentality of the algorithm is proposed.
