With the rapid development of network communication technology, the network began to carry more and more application service, the number of network devices is also growing at an alarming rate. In order to satisfy customers'high-quality and multi-type application service requirements, it is necessary to exchange existing network technology improvements to enhance the performance of switches and routers. Based on the network traffic, this paper focus on the switching fabric and simulates this system.After the evolution of a single bus, multiple bus and shared memory, the multi-stage switching fabric, which based on the switching units and scalability as'strong as the principal, becomes the most important high-performance switching network architecture. In this paper, mainly focus on multi-stage switch architecture, describing a typical multi-stage switch fabric:Banyan and Clos switching fabric.Network traffic modeling is an important part of the switching fabric simulation, and network traffic module based on the analysis of network traffic. By traffic analysis will run the rule of the network, correctly understanding the network characteristics, which plays a crucial role to establish an effective traffic module. With the continuous development of network services, the traditional Poisson model is not reflected in the behavior of the network now, through the research found that characteristics of a sudden self-similarity model can better reflect the characteristics of network traffic.Through the combination of the analyzed overall demand and the simulation system, this paper focus on analysis of the Bernoulli traffic model and burst traffic model design, and in position in the switching network traffic simulation system of that module. To test the traffic module and the switching network performance of the system, this article simulated various traffic modules and compared simulation results. By switching network simulation, software has basically reached the design requirements.
