Compared with the traditional piezoelectric sensor, Cement-based Piezoelectric Sensor has a lot of advantages, such as good compatibility with concrete material, better durability, strong anti-jamming capability, high strength, fast response speed, fewer auxiliary equipments, simple fabrication process and low cost. All that lay a solid foundation for its application in engineering practices and its application prospect also is good.This paper firstly introduces the characteristic and application status of the Cement-based Piezoelectric Sensor, analyzes its advantages, weighing principal and etc, and then, introduces the software and hardware composition of the specific data acquisition system. It lays a strong emphasis on discussing several typical engineering applications using Cement-based Piezoelectric Sensor. The realization methods of data acquisition, data pretreatment and data transmission are discussed in this paper. Comparative analysis of several data processing methods have been done in the paper too. This paper made a detailed analysis on the algorithm of Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) data processing according to the WIM and Velocity-Measurement-in-Motion (VMIM) based on Cement Piezoelectric Sensor. At last, an application research platform has been found using Cement Piezoelectric Sensor.The signal analyzing and processing system consists of host computer and lower computer, the host computer composed of PC and specific software, and the lower computer composed of industrial computer and its accessories. Framework of the software has been realized by the OOP design idea, a visual human-computer interface is provided by the specific software, which also has the function of data pretreatment, data storage, data calculation and analysis. The pretreatment method is discussed in detail, and the principal and application in WIM of neural network method, signal peak area method and peak voltage method. The result is verified by a great deal of experiment. The communication protocol is designed according the actual project requirement. Software of the lower computer is programmed by assembly language, so as to meet the requirements of the high-speed acquisition and data transmission. Two kinds of communication styles are as follows:1. RS-232C series communications protocol is designed and realized through Microsoft's MScomm control with C++ language.2. Network communication between the host computer and lower computer is realized through Winsock API and Packet Driver.All the functions of this system have been achieved; the experiment results show that the system are well realizes all the functions and meet the requirements of measuring of Axle Load and the speed of cars.
