A Research Of Manet In Environments With Rapidly Changing Topology

A MANET is a set of temporary autonomous mobile terminals with wireless transmitters and receivers. This network is widely used in military facilities, communications and sensor matrices.In this paper, we discuss about the unique features of MANET and propose a complete network protocol stack. It can be deploy to MANETs as well as traditional networks. It also has better performance and flexibility compared to standard IEEE 802.11 protocol. Another contribution of this paper is the development of an MAEB based 802.11 MAC algorithm. This algorithm focuses on MANET with high speed and rapidly changing topology. With MAEB MAC, network has better performance and extra adaptability in this environment.Furthermore, we implement this protocol stack on WRT54G hardware platform in order to test the performance of the protocol. We also discuss the testing methodology of networks in this environment.
