Study On Applicayion Of Welding Robotin The Bogie Frame

This dissertation discusses the process research of welding robot application in GE diesel locomotive bogie frame. GE diesel locomotive is the cooperation project of a domestic business with U.S. GE, bogie frame is the key of locomotive moving parts, its quality relates to the safe running of locomotive. As the main bearing components the welding quality of frame is particularly important, the manufacturing quality of frame directly restrict the locomotive safety and service life. Using robot welding plant diesel locomotive bogie frame is one of the important technology projects.First, by analysising the structural characteristics and production of rhythm of the bogie frame, we determined the configuration of the welding robot workstation, technical parameters, and a rational distribution of the robot workstation.According to welding characteristics of the frame traction beam material, we choose proper welding methods and welding materials. To ensure the organization and performance of welded joints, we determined the best welding line energy range, and it provided a basis for the development of the correct welding parameters.Choosing proper parameters is the key to ensure quality of welding. In order to shorten the test cycle and reduce costs, we used the orthogonal test in the welding process test method. By using statistical methods to analyze the experimental results we obtained primary and secondary parameters that affected weld properties, and determined the proper welding parameters.Through trial production, the size and performance indicators of frame traction beam meet the design requirements, and was equipped with conditions to large amount production.
