Research On Tracking And Locating Mobile Station Based On Information Of GSM Base Station

At the present time, the global system for mobile communications (GSM) has already covered every corner in the world. The positioning technology of the mobile station (MS) is also developing continuously. However, the well-rounded positioning technology of GSM is dependent on the base station database of the GSM service and the communication server of GSM, which is very inconvenient for the general users and very difficult to utilize. The global position system (GPS) has been developing very well and has been used widely, but it has a defect in the disguise and in the dodging.By means of the base station information of GSM from MS, have a research on the path tracking and the GPS method, which is independent on the base station database of GSM and the mobile station of GPS. The research result can be used for preventing the mobile, the electric mobile car and the precision instrument from the loss. When the precision instrument is lost, we can go on tracking and positioning and find it as soon as possible. Compared with GPS, this technology is characteristic of the better dodging and the better disclosure. So this method has an experimental application and a research meaning.The mainly studied content and results are concluded in the text as follows:1. The popular positioning method is studied at present and the knowledge related to the GSM network is introduced.2.The hardware circuit of the tracking and positioning system is designed. The characteristics and the functions of the tractor and the monitor are introduced.3. Go on with the path tracking experiment and conclude the path tracking method via a lot of experiment data when there is a GSM map and there is not a GSM map.4. Do lots of positioning experiments at school, make a research on the positioning method and analyze the positioning errors elaborately in all circumstances. The positioning error can be less than 20 meters in particular circumstances.Have a research on the MS tracking and the positioning method, which is independent on the base station database of GSM and MS. The results indicate that it is feasible to apply this technology to the guard-against-theft of the valuables and the other occasions.
