Based on the structured light projection of 3D measurement is publicly considered as the hopeful measurement for the high resolution, non-contact, without damage and high speed. The Fourier transform profilometry got a deformed fringe image which caused the surface of a object by a camera. Then got the phase of the image use the Fourier transform, and come to got the 3D shape. By analysis of Fourier transform profilometry, it is unsuitable for short time and dynamical signal and presentation the wavelet transform profilometry and the modified wavelet transform profilometry.Firstly,it is introduced the advantage of Wavelet transform on analyzing dynamic signal and the basic principles, and then presented the mother wavelet function used in this system based on theoretical and experimental results and the needs of processing dynamic signals.Secondly, The system's structured parameter calibration is one of key technologies. The camera's calibration is using aluminous made and high precision calibration plane instead of the traditional Zhang's b/w board. The calibration of projector, It treats the projector as a camera.Thirdly, extract phase using continuous wavelet transform, and then got the maximum amplitude point, we called ridge. In this , we introduced two kinds of extract ridge. One is maximum ridge extraction, the other is cost function.At last, after analyzed the shortcoming of traditional WTP on reflection, we introduced the research result that is the modified wavelet transform profilometry.
