Hydropower simulation system is a kind of large-scale comprehensive real-time simulation system, which can truly reflect the whole of the power plant operating conditions such as starting, parking and the normal operation of the monitoring and operation. Hydropower simulation system employs a purely software running, which means all the data generated by the computer through specific simulation algorithm. General simulation system can be divided into general-purpose simulator, replicating similar simulation machine and accurate replica simulator, etc. Currently, hydropower simulation system is approximate replicating machine, mainly used for hydropower Operation staff training.Generally regulation modules simulation uses block diagram of the simulation in the field of automatic control. When the complex control strategies are introducted, the simulation system is difficult to be achieved and system parameters are difficult to be amended. This paper presents a new rapid simulation system development strategy, and Simulink, S-Function, Real-time Workshop are introducted into the system developing process, the system parameters is optimized using Fuzzy Toolbox and PSO algorithm as well. In this situation diagram-oriented simulation, complex control algorithms and system code and system optimization organic are combined to shorten the project development cycle and the reliability of the code is increased. The simulation software development strategy has been applied to hydropower regulation simulation software module design and optimization.
