Wireless sensor networks technique is a huge revolution in information sensing and collecting areas, which plays a crucial role in next generation network. With the extending of application range, security issues are paid more and more attention in wireless sensor networks. Because of resource constraints in networks, security issues of wireless sensor networks face enormous challenges. Wireless sensor networks are data-centric. How to make effective measures to implement data security issues of networks is still an unsolved problem. In order to ensure data authenticity and reliability in wireless sensor networks, digital watermarking technique has been proposed as a part of security issues research contents, which also provides potential solutions for this problem. At present, most of previous digital watermarking techniques focus on the data property protection in wireless sensor networks. As a matter of fact, data contents also need sightless protection except property information in the transmission process.In order to solve data security issues, based on existing research, digital watermarking technique scheme is proposed in wireless sensor networks. The basic model of this scheme is also designed. Using authentication information as watermark information embedded in the transmission data verifies the legitimacy of the communication node identity. Networks identify the identity of data sending node by embedding watermark information, and retain this information in the process of data aggregation. The receiving node judges whether data in the transmission process replaced or forged by extracting and detecting this watermark information to implement reliability of network transmission data. Based on previous research on watermarking relational data, the watermark embedding algorithm and detecting algorithm are proposed, and also are tested with real data sensor nodes sensed. The experimental results show that it is feasible digital watermarking scheme in wireless sensor networks. Based on above model and digital watermarking fundamental applied to authentication technique, the improved model scheme is proposed. This scheme extracts the part character of sending data as watermark information, designs the generating watermark algorithm, and implements the watermark embedding algorithm and detecting algorithm. The experimental results show that improved algorithm increases reliability degree of verification result. Analyzing the complexity, security and energy consumption of this algorithm, experiments verify that this algorithm is secure and reliable.
