Satellite onboard electrical field meter data sampling and transmitting system based on micro-controller is an important part of micro-miniature satellite onboard electrical field meter, which belongs to national'863 Program'. C8051F020 is chose to be the main controller for this system, which controls the multi-channel high resolution analog to digital converting and then controls a variable gain amplifier for the analog signal conditioning circuit in the frontend, according to the data of A/D sampling; the C8051F020 also adds identifiers to the sampled data and then transmits the data to a comprehensive data management system via a CAN bus; furthermore, as the probe of electrical field meter may forms heath in plasma layer, the C8051F020 affords a constant current source to the probe.This thesis first introduces the project's background and then based on related projects that published by NASA and ESA, according to a comprehensive research and analysis, brings forward our design proposal. This thesis introduces the hardware and software designs for the data sampling and transmitting system, and gives a detailed design and implementation of the circuit and embedded software for the micro-controller; furthermore, the reliability and noise reduction designs associated with this project are discussed. In addition, the practicability and performance of the system has been proved by a commercial CAN bus tester. Finally, a prospection about the design in other applications is given.The successful design of satellite onboard data sampling and transmitting system has a significant practical and applied value for space electrical field detection and other projects that need high resolution and wild dynamic range. This project has been checked and accepted by national 863 task program.
