Research And Realization Of Video Traffic Smoothing Technology Of Streaming Media

Recently,the application of streaming media technology has become more and more widely along with the computer and Internet technology.Also streaming media traffic smoothing technology is the very important part of the streaming media technology.And streaming media traffic smoothing technology may be the bottleneck of the streaming media technology.Despite the the bandwidth of network is becoming more wide by the Internet's quickly development,the high definition applications of media need more bandwidth also.In addition,Internet is a best-effort network,it can not support the Qos service,so the applications may get the best service hardly.For soloving these problems,many solutions were appeared in academe in the past years,for example,smoothing algorithms,quality self-adapt algorithms,congestion control and so on.Streaming media traffic smoothing technology has become a effective method of the streaming media transmission in network. Streaming media traffic smoothing technology can divide into two parts,first method is the online smoothing technology to solve the application about online video conference and live TV,another method is offline smoothing to mainly solve the application of video of demand which is not sensitive so much about the delay.Because the smoothing algorithms were proposed to solve special areas of streaming media transmission.So almost no algorithm can resolve all problems of streaming media transmission.The paper research the smoothing algorithm WTS,and propose a new algorithm DWTS to advance the ability of client's dynamic buffering,this algorithm can made client change its buffer for different video.Also the paper solve several problems in virtual application.At last,the paper design a smoothing module based apple's open source streaming media service.The experiment based the service for algorithm appear the index of smoothing algoritnm is effective.
