In the past few years, as the rapid evolution of wireless communication techniques, a serious shortage of spectrum resources has increasingly become the development bottleneck of wireless communication. Wireless communication is moving in the direction of high capacity, high speed and high reliability. How to maximize spectral efficiency is currently a hot research topic. There is no doubt that MIMO technique is the most potential and most advantageous technology among the many methods. MIMO technique can multiply improve system capacity and spectral efficiency without increase the system bandwidth, and it has been one of the key technologies of next generation mobile communication system. We all know that, in MMO systems, it is very difficult to restore the original signal from all received signal, so research on the signal detection algorithm has always been a hot spot.Thesis conducted a study on the detection problem in MIMO systems. First, it analyzed the model and capacity of MIMO systems. Then, it introduced some basic signal detection algorithms in MIMO systems. And compare their performance through simulation results. Next, it introduced some expanded and sorted algorithms based on QR decomposition, which included QR, MMSE-QR, SQRD and MMSE-SQRD algorithms. Especially, it analyzed an iterative detection (IQRD) algorithm based on QR decomposition, and then presented a series of improved algorithms with expansion and sorting criteria, which included ISQRD, MMSE-IQRD and MMSE-ISQRD algorithms. Finally, it presented a fast iterative QR detection (IQRD-SIC) algorithm with SIC content. In addition, it given a series of improved algorithms based on IQRD-SIC algorithm with expansion and sorting criteria, which includedMMSE-IQRD-SIC, ISQRD-SIC and MMSE-ISQRD-SIC algorithms. And compare their performance through simulation results. From the simulation results, we can know every improved algorithm has certain reference value.
