Abstract/Summary:
At present human society is increasingly fine division of labor, group, interactive, distributed and cooperative become the essential characteristics of daily life. As a result, many works require collaboration. With the development of network technology, like information distribution and emerging grid computing, Group communication research, which focus on LAN before, has extend to these new areas. Because grid computing is based on networks (e.g., the Internet), the participating individuals in grid computing communicate with each other. Therefore, grid computing needs group communication. Moreover, apart from many security issues, such as user authentication and access authorization, many grid computing applications require that the communication messages be confidential, integrityprotected, and source authenticated. Therefore, research on secure group communication under grid environment has great value. This paper presents a new group key management scheme, combined with hierarchical access control scheme, and considered several fundamental characteristics of the grid: distributed, dynamic, heterogeneous, achieved these schemes in the grid environment.Utilize the property of circle that (n+1) points given on the same n-dimensional circle can determine its formula uniquely, and those points have same distance with the circle centor, we designed a new group key management scheme. The greatest advantage of new scheme is, requires lower user's storage and computation, only one message is send during rekeying, and achieves keys independence.
