The Test For Background Management Function Of Multimedia Conferencing System

With the development of network and multimedia technology and enhancement of market education and cost saving, domestic private enterprises have gradually came to accept the teleconferencing services, however, the most part of existing conferencing products can only provide a few people to join in, it can not meet the needs of the meeting for the private enterprises. Therefore, the schedule for the conferencing products has been delayed.For this situation, G-Net has designed and developed a multimedia conferencing system that can achieve up to the web conferencing services for thousands of people, This system provides the integration of teleconferencing and data conferencing, the convenience for calling a meeting, the functions of keeping order and monitoring for administrator and so on. In this paper, the author makes a detailed analysis of the requirements specification, put emphases on the multimedia conferencing system's function testing, design reasonable test plan and test cases, make a test of homepage, calling a meeting, meeting management, meeting set of multimedia conferencing system combined with the main content of practical work, then make a regression test and verifying for bugs of each version.In this paper, testing methods and strategy for some important part of multimedia conferencing system such as calling a meeting, meeting management, meeting setting have been expatiated. The author illustrate how to design those test plans and test cases. Finally, the article also shows some achievement of system test cases.At present, this multimedia conferencing system's testing period is completed. The system has been successfully online. Customers has clearly felt the advantage which this system bring to, they can use computer, telephone to make a full range of audio-visual communication. Using this system, people can chat, share documents and desktop in the meeting no matter where they are. It will bring convenience to the enterprise's meeting, and improve the G-Net's strength in market competition, and accelerate company's growth.
