The Design And Implementation Of Mobile Office Test Network By IMS

The mobile communication technology is evolving from 2G towards 3G, and the core network is evolving from Circuit Switch towards Package Switch. To provide multimedia services, the 3GPP (the Third Generation Partner Plan) has introduced the concept of IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) in the Release 5 of its WCDMA Specifications. As the main part of the 3G Core Network, IMS will converge multimedia services including video, audio, message, data, etc. based on the IP packaged domain. So it will become a key technology of convergence and a main developing trend of NGN (Next Generation Network).Based on the IP PS of the current mobile communication network, the IMS system can converge multimedia services including video, audio, message, data, etc., support any kind of connection, for example, fixed connection and mobile connection, and provide characteristic professional work,for example,Presence and PoC. The work of this paper is to study China Mobile that builds IMS network, the related problem of the interconnection of other communication network, and the professional work the IMS can provide.The paper introduced the structure of IMS system first. The IMS has been focused by Telecoms Operators because the IMS has the characteristics of separated control from work, separating transmit and access, the horizontal work structure. Then it introduced the function of CSCF,HSS,Gateway and AS, which are the main parts of the IMS system.Then the paper analyzed IMS typical services, such as Presence, PoC, and Multimedia Conference. And analyzed the IMS system and other network CS domain interworking, WLAN access, ect.Finally, it introduced and analyzed the plan of mobile office test network designed by IMS, the function of related facilities of Nokia, the established plan of net after using IMS, interconnection of mobile network and Signaling Network, application of ONLY in the IMS system,IP Centrex,etc.
