| IMT-Advanced system will support a higher data rates and spectral efficiency. In addition to adopting OFDM, MIMO and other key technologies in the physical layer, IMT-Advanced also introduced relay technology. Multi-hop Cellular Network (MCN), which integrates relay into the traditional cellular network, is currently the most promising network-building program with high effective and low cost. Besides, to ensure the continuity of high-quality broadband services, IMT-Advanced systems require to further enhance the cell boundary users' performance. However, there are more serious handover problems in MCN, especially for inter-cell handover which is high complex and have more signaling overhead. Due to poor communication link quality and high handover latency, the inter-handover performance of cell boundary users is difficult to guarantee.Based on IMT-Advanced system, this paper proposed a shared relay MCN scheme in order to improve the cell boundary users'performance. From the perspective of network structure, the inter-handover in MCN is studied in this paper, and the inter-handover strategy based on SR-MCN is proposed. In addition, considering the characteristics of SR-MCN, a radio resource allocation scheme is proposed, which eliminate the inter-cell interference based on soft frequency reuse effectively. Thus the performance of cell boundary users is further enhanced, while ensuring the effective utilization of wireless resources. Finally, this paper evaluated the SR-MCN scheme from the throughput, handover drop rates, and the cell boundary users' performance using the Matlab system-level simulation. The simulation results show that the SR-MCN scheme enhance the overall performance. |
