With China's sustained and steady economic development, the development of major cities has remarkable achievements. So the number of floating population and foreign population between cities are growing larger and larger. Surely, the development city will promote of road construction. Bus with its cheap and convenient advantages becomes the preferred choice of traveling. As the buses have increased, which causes not only people from outside and the tourists traveling are inconveniences, but some of the people living in the city are not very familiar with some bus lines. So in order to facilitate the masses and tourists to go to destination easily, it is essential to develop the bus enquiry system. To meet the needs, I develop the Jinan self-service bus lines enquiry system which uses Powerbuilder as the develop language, combining with SQL SERVER database for providing fast, and simple enquiry with urban public transport sites, lines. Compared with the previous bus system, this software I developed, the characteristics are:The first, in addition to provide the enquiry for general lines, site, as well as a transfer station for outside, it also available on the site of the surrounding environment, signs of construction sites and to look through the lines, for those who are not very clear on the site of the people can easily find the site and reach their destinations.The second, the software run in the process of voice prompts, making operations more convenient and humans.The third, through the comparison of the ways that call realize the bus information mobile query,it provides a solution to query bus information via GSM short message. In this system,it Uses the China Mobile Peer to Peer (shorted for CMPP) to implement the bus information messages receiving and sending.The last, the software has a background in management module, the lines; sites can be carried out at any time to facilitate the update using two ways: 1.The enthusiastic members of the public provide updates changes of surrounding environment.2. The background administrators laws the management.The results of the system running prove that it is able to meet people's needs well.
