In recent 20 years, mobile communication technology has made rapid development, which has pushed the society forward greatly and made people's life more convenient. Today it has become the most significant method of communication in the society.Smart antenna technology was derived from 1940s,and its original name was Adaptive Antenna Array. Smart antenna technology was primarily used in radar,anti-jamming communications, military communications and so on. In recent years, with the development of mobile communication, smart antennas has begun to be used in more complex mobile communication system.It helps to improve all of the performance in the mobile communication system, such as channel capacity, communication quality, and it has played a significant role in it.This paper mainly studies the adaptive beam-forming algorithms in smart antenna, focusing on the beam-forming algorithms in TD-SCDMA system.First,the paper introduces the basic concepts of smart antenna system.It is the foundation of the various algorithms behind.Then, introduce the commonly used best-filter-criteria for adaptive beam-forming algorithm and several classic algorithms.After that, discuss the adaptive beam-forming algorithms in TD-SCDMA system,and analyze the availability. Then propose a new algorithm which combines the classic algorithm and the advanced algorithm.This new algorithm reduces the computational complexity, and is more suitable for the real-time mobile communication system. Finally, combining the smart antenna beam-forming algorithms and TD-SCDMA system, the paper researches the influence of smart antenna system in TD-SCDMA system.And also, because users may move rapidly in real life,the paper simulates the performance of the existing smart antenna, analysises the reason of bit error rate, and gives some suggestions for improvement...
