Research Of DCI Digital Cinema Key Technology

With the development of Computer technology, digital technology is introduced in traditional film making. In one hand, it compensate for special effect that the traditional camera cannot make it. On the other hand, it makes the transmission much more convenient. Then, in order to unify the digital cinema in all the procession of digital cinema system, digital cinema advocacy organizations DCI has published the "Digital Cinema System Specification V1.0" in 2005 and version 1.1,1.2 and Stereoscopic Digital Cinema Addendum later. All of the Specifications make it more integrated and exact. The establishing of DCI and relative specifications points out a unified, high-efficient and reliable digital cinema open frame. It offers film issuer and cinema the same interface, so it will favorable for communication and development, then increase the efficient of presentation.DCI specifications involve all of the digital cinema system, including the whole procession from digital cinema source master to presentation of it. And stereoscopic digital cinema's encoding and encryption are studied.First of all, the flow of stereoscopic digital cinema's encoding is introduced, that is, form adjustment, JPEG2000 compression, stereoscopic MXF packaging and show information files creation. And then it talks about the key technology. Finally, by fulfilling the stereoscopic cinema encoding in computer platform, it enhances the understanding of that technology, and figure out the improved schema according to the problem coming out in the reality.Besides, the security, which takes the important part of DCI specifications, is studied. First of all, it makes out the processing flow of digital cinema security. And then the key technology, including symmetric encryption, asymmetric encryption, XML signature, XML encryption and digital certificate, is introduced. Lastly, by fulfilling the security technology in computer platform, it enhances the understanding of that technology, and figure out improved schema according to the problem coming out in the reality.At the same time, in order to verify the stereoscopic cinema encoding and security's compatibility with DCI, digital cinema source master offered by the Beijing Film Academy is used to go through the stereoscopic encoding and security software,and then the output is tested to make sure the compatibility, which offer a better platform about DCI research.
