Desing And Implementation Of Shanghai Unicom Spare Parts Management System

With the rapid development of the mobile communication in China, high quality of telecommunications networks is the key basic condition for China Unicom to win in the intense market competition. Maintenance efficiency, quality and cost of Network operation directly influence enterprise competitiveness and benefits. Establishing the spare parts management system which matches with the operation and maintenance of the Network and technique supporting is the basic assurance of the high quality, high reliability, high efficiency and low cost; in addition, it is also an inevitable request for further enhancing centralized Network maintenance management.The spare parts management system is necessary to realize unified management, classified storage, whole network sharing and dispensation on demand. Therefore, Shanghai Unicom plans to build the spare parts management system. By connecting to the local various spare parts centers with LAN, the maintenance center and related management unit can browse and search spare parts, and authorize local spare parts administrative staff and users to operate the related information management.The system is based on the C/S structure and adopts SQL Server as the backstage database. The system meets both the technical and functional needs of China Unicom. It provides the functions of spare parts inquiry, in and out, rework, statistics, information record and rights management etc. In addition, the system shows the features of advancement, security, reliability, maintainability, operability and expandability. It is a stable system with real-time management function, and covers the various professional centers citywide.This paper starts from the background of the system establishment, introduces the research content of spare parts system, summarizes the spare parts management system of China Unicom and Shanghai Unicom, and describes the main work and paper structure. Then, based on four sections of system needs analysis, design, implementation and test, the paper discusses the overall technical solutions of the system. Needs analysis begins with exploring of current management pattern, coming up with suggestion and design framework, and finally proposing the business needs analysis. System design includes software development, system structure, function module, user interface and database connection etc. System implementation includes the implementation and detailed application of each function. System test includes both individual client-side and complete C/S structure. At last, the paper concludes the whole research, proposed the technical suggestion for the system, and develops several future research directions.
