Recently the eye-balls of telecom industries have been caught by the popularity of Internet Mashups. Both mobile terminal manufacturers and telecom operators are attempting to introduce Mashup concept to telecom field in order to produce novel applications by various resources in the network. Currently the most widely-used way of combining Mashup and telecom network is to encapsulate telecom capacity in Web services which are open to Internet. However, this method just adds the type of resources in network and can neither solve the problem of producing novel applications nor reflect the characteristics of control, management and operation of Mashup applications in telecom network.This thesis researches on the combination of Mashup and telecom network. After investigating the relative technologies, a Mashup platform based on telecom network, or telecom Mashup platform for short, is proposed which combines Mashup and telecom network. On one hand, deploying the platform in telecom network is able to invoke all kinds of telecom capability and manage various resources by strong operation capacity of telecom, which makes operator avoid "dump pipes" and realize operation on Mashup application. On the other hand, the platform orients to mass users. Everyone can produce rich applications by "mashuping" kinds of resources in telecom Mashup platform, which satisfies the personalized long tail requirements.This thesis firstly introduces the concept, type, architecture and relative technologies of Mashup, and then presents the merits of combining Mashup and telecom network by analyzing their strengths and weaknesses in order to bring out telecom Mashup platform. After depicting the functions, the three-layer architecture and all modules of telecom Mashup platform are described in details. At last a prototype is designed and implemented so as to verify the correctness and feasibility of telecom Mashup platform. At the end of this thesis, it pointes out the next step of working and summarizes the work and research progress during master degree study.
