Embedded system is presently a hot research topic among computer and control areas. After the "everybody-in-the-Internet-wave" now obviously follows the "everything-in-the-Internet-wave". In other words, more and more embedded devices have the demand of being networked. Embedded networked systems which combine the technologies of both embedded systems and networks show that embedded systems would be lower-cost,higher-functioned and more networked. So far, embedded networked systems have been applied in many aspects of industrial control and people's daily lives including Smart Home,Remote Control and Monitoring(RCM),Environment dection and Bio-medical researches etc. This paper talks about RCM which means controlling and monitoring a remote device through Internet/Intranet using a local PC.The key technology to implement network connection for embedded systems is to simplify and improve normal TCP/IP stack according to hardware/software resources and system function requirements so as to build an appropriate cut TCP/IP stack. B/S model make it inevitable for RCM because of its good universality,platform-independence and interaction.This paper firstly customizes a cut TCP/IP stack based on the analysis of the whole system. And then it compares two approaches of contructing this stack using CMX MicroNet and C language while explaining the latter one detailedly and precisely. Meanwhile, it discusses how to port uC/OS-â…¡into C8051F340 in consideration of serial communication besides network communication so as to implement multi-task parallel computing.
