With the sustainable development of Chinese Economy, there is an increasing demand for Electricity and Thermal Power. Accordingly, with the development of Electricity and Thermal Power industry, the output of fly coal ash has increased enormously. At present, the output of fly coal ash has amount to 0.12 billion tons each year. China has become the biggest country in output of fly coal ash. Unless fly coal ash can be put into use efficiently, it will not only occupy plenty of land in storage, but also lead to pollution of the enviroment which the human live in. All these do harm to ecological balance and the sustainable development of Chinese Economy. Therefore, it is of increasing impotance to research and develop the brick made of fly coal ash. The rapid development of economy lead to an increasing demand for brick made of fly coal ash as well as favorable policy gives an opportunity for developing the brick made of fly coal ash. Furthermore this provides an opportunity for reaseach and development of equipment for brick made of fly coal ash.The paper provides systematical comprehension and full understanding of brick production process, then makes production links and controll law clear. By a comparion of many control modes and according to the advangtange and disadvantage of every kind of controll mode, Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) is chosen as the controller of production line among DCS , PLC and so on.In this paper, general scheme for control system for production line is presented as a whole, and improvement in current system is seen to perfect the performance and to increase stability of controll syestem. Host computer adopts monitoring system based on SIMATIC WinCC which has excellent openness and flexibility to supervise every link on the spot of production so as to combine producton automation and process automation to realize the integrity of production process. Slave computer adopts S7-300 PLC as controller. S7-300 PLC has many advangages such as configuration software and function-extension in principle as well as data communication through PROFIBUS. The paper also provides method for fault detection for motors and autoclave. The upper-computer provides fault detection for motors and autoclave by communicating key data from the production spot to supervise the operation conditon of motors and autoclave.In order to solve the problem that it is difficult to set PID-parameters in industrial application, the paper presents a self-adaptive controller based on single neuron algorithm for ratio control system, which bases on single neuron self-learning ability, and can tracks changes of the system and can set parameters rapidly according to changes. All done like this is to make the system work steadily. Subseqently, the paper takes advantage of MATLAB to simulate the system. The simulation result shows that the system possesses excellent dynamic performance and robustness is satisfactory.Finally, the creativity of the paper is pointed out and the direction of research development of control system for production line of brick made of fly coal ash.
