Grid Resource Selection Model Based On Trust Moment

Resource management is a key technology in grid system, which includes organization, location, discovery, scheduling, allocation, confirmation and so on. The openness and large-scale of grid environment, the dynamic and heterogeneity of grid resources make system facing massive and mixed resources, how to coordinate their performance characteristics, how to effectively manage and reasonable schedule resources to achieve the purpose of not only meet the QoS requirement, but also do not waste resources which is a key problem in grid resource management. This paper introduces trust mechanism in grid resource management to reflect the credibility of resource nodes in their network behavior. It can enhance the utility of resource matching and improve the security and reliability of system.Buyya proposed several models which could be applied in grid resource management, However, Buyya discussed only on economic conceptual level and do not have specific implementation of evaluation methods. In computational economy model, he assumes that both transaction parties are honest and trustworthy, and resources are safe and reliable. This idealized assumption is inconsistent with reality. Grid environment is an open network, there is serious information asymmetry between the transaction participators in grid environment, so reputation mechanism is introduced in resource transaction can solves the problem of information asymmetry effectively. According to the transaction behavior of each node, the model introduces the reputation mechanism to calculate the local and global reputation value and modifies the reputation value dynamically based on various factors such as transaction time, transaction amount and transaction success rate which impact resource transactions. Moreover, the researches on resource selection in grid mostly focus on QoS property of resource, but the preference of consumer is ignored. This paper introduced a grid resource selection model based on trust moment. According to the type of resource, grid resource is divided into several trusted domains and is organized and managed by each domain agent. This paper defines the concepts of trust gravitation, trust radius and trust moment and designs the resource selection algorithm which not only focuses on QoS property of resource, but also meets the preference of consumer.
