To solve problems raised in the iteration procedure for tuning design parameters and collaboration among designers from multiple institutes during the design of the civil airplane, the Distributed Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (DMDO) framework is designed and implemented. The DMDO framework has two major characteristics: 1) it's easy to use and flexilbe. It provides highly flexible workflow composition method, to improve the reuse rate of the workflow. Also it provides transparent way to submit task to remote heterogeneous clusters, make the framework easier to use; 2) it has good extensibility. The unified platform wrapper and application wrapper interface make the framework more flexible and extensible.Correctness, efficiency and workflow extensibility have been tested in experiments, and the results show that the key technologies meet the expected design goals, which indicates DMDO system could provide the designers of civil airplane an efficient, flexible and easy to use design platform. |
