Since the 90s of the 20th century, computer technology, network technology has developed rapidly. Communication technology has been steadily progressing.In January 2009, with the issuance of 3G license, China has formally entered into the 3G era. These techniques have had a profound impact on all walks of life, improving work efficiency, changing the way of people life.Education has also been effected by the development of these technologies.Education informationization is becoming a trend. Network teaching platform is an important part of education informationization. With the development and popularization of technologies, Network teaching platform are also constantly developing.This paper is produced in this context.In the study, first of all push technology is divided into four types according to the way users receive the information:Email push technology, RSS push technology, SMS push technology and WAP push technology. Then describes the meaning of four types of technology, architecture and the principle of their function implementation. Analysize their advantages and disadvantages of the application in online teaching platform. Finally design and implement the system of teaching announcement based-on push technology.The application of push technology in network teaching platform allows learners to receive instruction information more timely, convenient, and also allows the learners to customize learning content according to their needs. In this study, the discussion about the application of push technology in network teaching platform is used to provide a new way for developers when they design network teaching platform.And this network teaching platform will play a better role in informational education.
