Goafs formed by underground mining is one of the primary dangerous sources of underground mine.Goaf spatial information can obtained accuratly from 3D laser detection technology. How to achieve visualization of goaf detection data, was one of research emphasis in digital mine.Closely combining the research project "the application and study of Dongguashan Copper Mine cavity monitoring technology", and considering the goaf with large area,the research of goaf's 3D visual system based on CMS detection was carried out, which developed In the Visual C++ 2005 programming environment combining with OpenGL 3D graphics interface.The DXF and XYZ file including three-dimensional coordinate information of goaf-boundary's points were generated by the preprocessing original data of CMS goaf detection, and the file data storage mode was analyzed. According to the spatial topology relationship of CMS scanning points,Grid triangulation subdivision algorithm was proposed, and combing with the ear's algorithm, all goaf-boundary's points were triangulated, the construction of goaf's triangulation was realized.The CMS scanning track line, goaf triangulation model and three-dimensional display of goaf solid model were achieved in the three-dimensional visualization environment established with OpenGL graphic interface, and the basic operations of three-dimensional were accomplish, such as translation,zoom,rotate, XY view, XZ view, YZ view, light texture and so on.Goaf volume and exposed roof area of goaf were two important influencing factors of goaf safety and stability, the visual calculation functions of volume and exposed roof area of goaf were realized based on the system of goaf 3D visual model.To effectively manage the factors of stability of mined information, The Access database of goaf information management was established, and the querying, adding, modifying, deleting of information were achieved by ADO accessing database techology.The visualization analysis of collapsed 56-6 goaf were achieved through the developed system, and the volume and roof exposed area of goaf from 50 line to 56 line were calculated.The three-dimensional visualization system based on CMS detection was initially established, including functions such as goaf 3D model construction,3D visualization operation,3D visualization calculation, goaf information management and so on.Reliability and practicality of the system were proved well in practical application.
