Data fusion technology which produced in 80's of the 20th century, applied widely in multi-sensor remote sensing image fusion, target tracking, track correlation, multi-sensor target location, identification and classification, distributed data fusion, data association, situation assessment and threat assessment as well as in non-military in the field.Currently the assessment of energy consumption of ethylene unit is based on specific energy, not considered the different of raw materials, process thchnology and unit size among ethylene units, and there is no unified index system of energy consumption of ethylene. In order to obtain ethylene energy index system of monthly and annual energy consumption information both the industry and various type units or single nuit, multivariate time series data linear minimum variance optimal fusion algorithm based on k-means clustering for single unit and Hierarchical linear optimize fusion algorithm or hierarchical linear optimization for various types units and the industry are proposed to extract ethylene consumption index. And the consumer price index (CPI) Evaluation of reference including energy consumption over the previous year, chain, fixed base relative, and the cumulative odds is introduced to ethylene analysis and evaluation of energy efficiency, the more indicators. Achieving an objective assessment to Energy consumption of the ethylene plant, helps to find the direction of energy saving or quantitative targets. At last, energy consumption indicator system of ethylene process management platform for energy efficiency is developed based on Matlab Web Server technology.All of the research is based on all national production of ethylene actual energy consumption data nearly 10 years. The proposed algorithm and the soft system are used in ethylene plant, ethylene Industry Association, which supporting energy consumption monitoring of ethylene industry, setting energy conservation targets, promoting energy conservation and emission reduction.
