As the first international standards with independent intellectual property in the one hundred years history of China's telecommunications industry,TD-SCDMA is China's major milestone in the national strategy of promoting independent innovation. As the rapid development of mobile communications and internet,video, streaming media, and other data services has set higher requirements for mobile communication system.Consider the development of WCDMA and CDMA2000,terminals have restricted these two technologies to accelerate the maturity in varying degrees,From the trial commercial situation this stage, TD-SCDMA terminals still need to speed up improving performance,rich Feature as well as the complete product line.China Mobile believe cell phone is the biggest problem at this stage of TD-SCDMA commercial trial,it has become the key to full TD-SCDMA maturity.The industry is also necessary to give greater attention and investment to the development of the terminal.Cell search is the most basic function of TD-SCDMA terminal. We can get more information of serving cell and neighbor cell after find a suitable cell,then monitor the paging of network,carry out Corresponding business.In all kinds of communication environment,whether the TD-SCDMA terminal can find a suitable is one of the indicators to measure the performance of the terminal. This major work is to study the cell search algorithm and implementation, and track the process of cell search.The main works of the thesis is concluded as follows:(1) The whole cell searching process is divided into several sub-module according to their function,further more,each module is modeled mathematically and verified by simulation and unit testing.(2) An improved algorithm is proposed for downlink synchronization. The simulation results show that the improved algorithm can achieve higher synchronization accuracy.(3) A new approach is presented for sorting frequencies to save the cell search time and improve the veracity of sorting frequencies.
