The driver adjusts a vehicle traveling straight on a flat straight road, and then let hands off steering wheel. If the car wanders and deviate away the straight line though it should keep going straight, we call this abnormal phenomenon vehicle driving wandering.This article introduced the laws and regulations on vehicle driving wandering, analyzed the relation between vehicle driving wandering and steering wheel alignment parameter, tire, suspension and steering system, and presented a series harm such as driving fatigue, faster tire wear etc. Those statements proved the importance of vehicle driving wandering test system research and development.This article listed three possible vehicle driving wandering test methods through analyzing technical requirements and running environment of vehicle driving wandering test system. After comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of traditional driving wandering test method, CCD image sensor solution, optical fiber sensor solution and GPS orientation test solution, adopted CCD image sensor solution to develop driving wandering test system. Base on previous work, it analyzed and confirmed system hardware construction which consisted of image acquisition system hardware, wireless communication system hardware and corresponding civil work, etc. Combined with system requirements, this article analyzed each key technical parameter in the part of system hardware introduction.According to the construction of system hardware, system software was divided into wireless communication module, image acquisition and processing module, production network communication module and main program module. The article introduced project management of software development method and analyzed the typical software development model as the guide of system software development. The software could face many problems as the important part of system development. The article focused on the typical problems of system development such as the adjustment of camera exposure time, start CCD in sequence, attachment VIN to corresponding vehicle and system user interface control, etc, then gave the corresponding solution.The key point was how to convert the image coordinate acquired by CCD to physical coordinate. The article analyzed the factors of realization of coordinate transition. They were control point arrangement and applicative close-range test analytical algorithm. The control points of driving wandering test system were arranged in the plane of test road. Finally,driving wandering test system chose single image space resection algorithm rather than direct linear transformation algorithm because it would cause unstable solution if solving inside and outside poison element of control point on the same plane at the same time.The article expounded the development process, solution setting, hardware selection and the whole software development flow of vehicle driving wandering test system based on LabVIEW.
